Again, thanks goes to our precious wedding photographer, Jose Villa.  Visit his blog for more wedding and engagement pictures... if you can handle any more Petaja wedding madness.

Ummm, hello??? All those times we've talked about blogs and I don't recall you saying you had one? And of course, it's as creative and sweet and lovely as you and your hubby!

Just found your blog. The pictures and your work are just amazing. I'm in love with your shoes, where on earth did you get them?

Chelsea said...

Your wedding was stunning. I love it.

Tosha said...

I love love love your dress!!! Who is the designer?

chelsea said...

Thanks, Tosha! I'm crazy about that dress, too. When I found it 3 years ago... before I was even dating Tec... I hid it in a special "wedding folder" on my computer! Ha. Needless to say, it's my dream dress. It's a Claire Pettibone "Larissa", by the way...

Your invitations are precious! Did you make them yourself?

chelsea said...

hey shannon! yeah, i made the invites myself, but i used images i had on post-it notes my sister gave me. i can't remember who the artist of the notes were, but i'll let you know if i find out! <3

Seriously... your shoes. I think about them constantly since I first saw these pictures. The vibe felt in these photos is exactly what all brides want. If you want to keep it secret, I understand but I'm dying to know who makes those shoes. Congrats!

hi there i LOVE your larissa dress! Did you purchase the dress this year? I'm wondering if this style is still available... thanks!

chelsea said...

hey elaine! i really love that dress, too... obviously! ;) yes, i purchased it this year, but it's a 2006 style. so i'm not sure what stores carry it, but i bought it in a boutique in atlanta. hope this helps!

your wedding is beautiful! This is a sort of weird question, but what color is your dress? Is it ivory or more of a champagne? I ask because my fiance is wearing a grey suit and I am worried if I go with a champagne colored dress, it may not look good.

chelsea said...

thanks kristen! hmmm i guess my dress is pretty much ivory, but with a lot of pink in it. the flower in the front and back, the lace along the bodice, and the ribbons flowing from the front are all a light, light pink. but in my (unsolicited) opinion, i think a champagne dress would look just fine with a gray suit, since gray is so neutral. i hope this helps!

i know this is completely improper etiquette and maybe a little too personal, but i just had to ask: what exactly was your budget (or even just a range)? i've been so inspired by your wedding, and how it was on a budget, and i know some people's definition of "small" can range anywhere from $5000-$20000. i'm getting married next summer and the budget is my biggest source of stress, so i just thought i would ask!
again, i'm not trying to be rude or prying, it's just for my sanity! and if you don't feel comfortable i completely understand! <3

Hi Chelsea- I can't believe I stumbled upon your site! What beautiful pictures...More importantly, I've been searching for a used Claire Pettibone Larissa dress for some time now. Would you be willing to part with it or lend it for a fee? My wedding is August 8, 2009 on Long Island. And it's just what I'm looking for! Please let me know when you get a chance..

chelsea said...

hey brooke! thanks for loving my dress, apparently as much as i do! ;) that being said, i'd feel as if i were selling my first born if i sold larissa. keep your eyes peeled on those used wedding gown sites. i'll see a larissa pop up every now and then. good luck!

ps--and sophie! i'm sorry i've forgotten to respond to your question about budget. and yes, i do feel a bit awkward talking about our budget and how much we spent on our wedding, but let's say it was somewhere within the range you listed... i know that's not helpful, but just try to prioritize the things that are important to you, and everything else will fall into place. good luck!

Where did you get the fabric you used as a backdrop for your photos? I absolutely love it!

Asia al-Massari said...

I have to know where those beautiful shoes are from!

chelsea said...

hey asia! the shoes were bought at a discount store for $14.99! they're dollhouse brand, if you want to do an all-out internet search. ;)

look at you, pretty thing! I love all of the bright colors. Congrats.

Hi Brooke,
I also was inspired by Chelsea's goregous photos and tried the CP Larissa dress on and fell in love with it. I just got married and all anyone could talk about was my dress! I now feel too guilty to leave it in a closet for the rest of its life, and am willing to part with it. It a size 10, altered only slighty in length and available asap if you are interested!

GingerBlossom said...

Kelley! I don't know if you've gotten a response yet about the Larissa dress, but I am super interested! Also, I'm getting married in April 2010, so if the gal from Long Island wants it, then is willing to pass it my way, that would work too! I love this dress - it's the dress of my dreams!

Kelley said...

Hi GingerBlossom!

Email me on kpruckler@hotmail.com and we can chat about the dress for sale!

Hi Chelsea,

I LOVE your wedding and you looked stunning in your Claire Pettibone gown!

I hope you don't mind my asking, but I'm doing some internet searching for it and I was wondering what the difference is between the street size and the dress size for "Larissa" is. For instance, I am a street size 6 - do you think I would be able to get a size 10 altered to fit?

Thanks so much!
Rebecca
