southern weddings launch party!

Two weekends ago, Tec and I spent a few days in Atlanta to visit my parents and to attend the launch part for the new Southern Weddings magazine.  So I splurged on a clearance dress (which should be an oxymoron...) from Anthropologie, pulled on a pair of grey hand-me-down cowboy boots from my mom, and whipped up a pretty little lady for my hair.  Of course Tec looked just as handsome as he always does... without spending a penny on new clothes.  Go figure.

Just like in the movies, there was a blown-up image of the magazine on an easel!  Now all we need is a life size poster with the faces cut out so that everyone can be on the cover.  Ha!

Oooh!  And to top it off, there was a swag bag!  A Southern Weddings swag bag... say that five times fast.

We had so much fun practicing our mingling skills and hanging out with old and new friends alike.  We really felt so welcomed and appreciated by the lovely ladies at the magazine; we truly can't thank you enough for valuing our wedding enough to put it on the premier cover!  I mean, come on--that's a dream come true.

{ All of the images I've used for this post are from this Southern Weddings post. }

Congrats, of course! But, um, I was also wondering -- I saw your pic through BudgetSavvyBride's blog first (celebrating her @ this launch party), and I *love* your dress! I'm looking for casual wedding alternatives, and I was wondering if you'd mind sharing deets on your dress? I know, randomness & a smidge intrusive, sorry -- so I understand if you ignore this :D, and just know that I think it's *lovely*!
