a rose and a reason to celebrate

In this case, THIS Rose got her doctorate and turned thirty, all in one week!

Some sweet friends of the brilliant and beautiful Rose Daly threw her a thirtieth birthday party that will go down in the books. The multi-talented Joy Williams (and also of The Civil Wars) and a few other dear friends put together one of the sweetest, most thoughtful birthday gatherings. The backyard evening was complete with an impeccable menu, vintage tablecloths and accessories galore, flowers that would make you blush, and friends aplenty. Happy, happy birthday Dr. Rose!

The sweet Melaine Smith, who creates at A Village of Flowers here in Nashville, provided every single one of these flowers. Then, to top it off, she let me arrange them! Let's just say, I was in heaven. If you need any sort of floral work done, do yourself a favor and give Mrs. Melanie your business.

vintage stamps and white ink

Here's a little sneak peek into a wedding happening this summer.

I was lucky enough to work on the invitations and envelopes. My girl Joy Thigpen is styling the wedding while my man Tec Petaja is photographing--that's a dynamic duo, if you ask me.

By the way, these gorgeous stamps were purchased from Esty vendor Verde Studio. If you have something lovely and important to send, I think it's worth the extra 56 cents per envelope.
