oui, oui went to paris

Back in late February oui took a trip to lovely, lovely Paris with some new and old friends to do a lot of work and and quite a bit of play. We traveled over with The Civil Wars for Tec to photograph them and for a music video, directed and shot by Becky Fluke.

Our apartment was right across the street from the Eiffel Tower, and even though you might think it's touristy and predictable, I was blown away. C'mon. What girl hasn't dreamt of seeing the Eiffel Tower? And did you know it sparkles at night? My goodness... talk about dreamy.

Here's a little 8mm video of our trip, set to the lovely sounds of Edith Piaf singing La Vie En Rose.

These photos are so dreamy! And I admit that I have dreamt many a time about the Eiffel Tower, so an apartment right across from it sounds really lovely. xo

I don't know if I was ever a girl who dreamed of seeing the eiffel tower. I dreamed of Paris, and cobblestone, but not the tower.

then we got there.

and then it was night.

i wanted to go to sleep in our perfect little hostel. but my husband made me get up, and subway across the city to see it for the first time at night.

And i cried. oh boy.

it really does just make you swell up will romance and joy.

i wonder if the architects knew it would evoke this?

the little video is lovely.

bonjour again! xo!
the bathing suit is actually from a line called "joe" which, in canada, sells through a grocery store (its so fun to buy apples and avacados and belts and bathing suits all at once!)
anyway, its a little (and cheeper) sister to club monico I think. I hear they have one in new york, but not sure where else.

hope this helps!
