No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow.
After being in ol' Pairs (but say it like Pair-eee) for the past week, I came home to one of my lovely paperwhite bulbs blooming. What a sweet sign of spring.
These guys are a hearty breed of bulbs and they grow pretty much anywhere, any time. This bulb was planted on February 20th, so this is what it does in about two weeks. But I planted four bulbs in another container and they're nowhere close to blooming. (I may have let the roots get too dry while we were gone for the week.) So play around with what you plant them in, what you plant them on and where you place them in regards to sunlight. (Paperwhites can grow in dirt, pebbles, rocks, shells--you name it!) Here's a link to growing them with a bit more info.
Everything is blooming most recklessly; if it were voices instead of colors,
there would be an unbelievable shrieking into the heart of the night.

This reminds me I should pick some bulbs up! They always smell great, and make me think of Easter at home.
