aloha maui

Tec and I will soon be traveling to Maui for some work, sun and surf.  It'll be my first time to Maui; have you been?  Where should we go and what should we see?

Tec spent a few months on Maui back in his single days and is excited to show me around "one of the most beautiful places on earth."  What do you think?

The sky in the second photo is amazing! I've been once, but I was really young. I do remember eating fresh chocolate covered coffee beans and thinking "this must be heaven." :)

Went a couple years ago. Eat fresh pineapple and make sure to take a day and do the Hanna drive. Pack a picnic and see the black sand beaches, find coves with local surfers, and travel back in the rain forests to the waterfalls. It rains a lot so bring a jacket. There are so many cool stops! One favorite was where the waves hit all the rocks and spray 100s of feet in the air. The colors are beautiful and it's really powerful to be so close to such force like that! Absorb the culture because the people love life, live simply, and are very beautiful. A truly unique and memorable place!

Enjoy and have a wonderful time!!!

It really is beautiful there.I went during whale watching season of 07. The banyan trees are super neat & the hana drive is supposed to be super neat too but there was a tree blocking the way when we went. Watch the surfers at hookipa!

Like Megan said, the road to Hannah really is incredible. You can stop and look at some gorgeous waterfalls. My family and I really enjoyed biking down Haleakala. You coast the entire time, so there's no skill involved in making the trip. You start out by watching the sun rise at the top of the volcano!

I have never been to Maui but we will be going there for our honeymoon on May 16! We are planning to take in the local farmers markets, snorkel and travel the road to Hana. I hope you guys have an amazing trip!

Maui is so gorgeous, fun and relaxing. You will LOVE it. If you want to get off the beaten path (not so touristy) go up country, to Haiku, Paia, Makawoa. Good food and fun to look around the little towns. My brother lives in Haiku and he loves it. And i love to visit!
Have fun!
