christmas cd :: GIVEAWAY

It's that time again, dearlings!  I had so much fun putting together a Christmas mix last year that I couldn't wait to make a new one for 2011!

This mix is full of sweet Christmas and holiday themed songs that'll warm your heart and tickle your toes.  (And, for the record, there are two unreleased Sufjan Stevens holiday songs on this mix.  You heard me.  Jump on this!)

To enter the give away, just leave a comment below telling what you're most thankful for this Christmas season.  It was such a gift for me to be able to read all that you're grateful for last year; I can't wait to read more praises of thankfulness.

Like last year, I'll randomly generate a number and announce the winner Monday morning, so get your comments in before then for a chance to get your little paws on our Holiday Tunes Mix.  If you're leaving your comment anonymously, please leave your email address so that I have a way to reach you!  Otherwise, check back Monday morning!
xo!

This year has been a growing, at times heartbreaking, experience, but I think when we go through difficult times - that's when we know, more than ever, what we're extra thankful for. So I'm extra, extra, super duper thankful for my strong, wonderful family and their unwavering faith... and knowing that no matter what, I always have a place to call home.

Honestly, I am thankfurl for this life. For such a time as this. I am thankful for God's amazing grace and that I can live each day knowing that I am loved. I am thankful for growth and for dreams and visions and for being a better person this year than last. I am thankful for an amazing family. No words could express this gratitude. I am thankful for friends. Friends who are not afraid to tell me the truth. Friends who have full permission to speak into my life. And I am thankful for a church that is ever growing and that reaches out into the community to be the hands and feet of God!

I am thankful for the gift and miracle of children. Many of my dear friends struggle with infertility and it breaks my heart to hear their stories and share in their pain. Although I do not have children, I am thankful that I can share in the joy of parenthood with my friends who are becoming parents for the first time.

chelsea, this is such a fabulous idea! i have to say, the holiday season makes me reflect on all the blessings from the past year. and it's nothing short of a joy to give back. and even though this time of year can also be very difficult for some people (my family being one of those this particular year), it doesn't take away from the peace that we will experience from the meaning behind what we're celebrating.

I am thankful for a happy and healthy life that I share with my wonderful family and friends. I am thankful for goals and visions of bettering myself while also helping others. Lastly, but most certainly first, I am thankful for God and the strength that he instills in me each day.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful life and creations with us!

Happy Holidays!

Last year was a hard one on many levels. I'm grateful that this year finds my family healthy and happy, some dear loved ones reunited and reconciled, and that I've made it through my first year of graduate school. Happy new year to you and yours!

I'm thankful that I have the ability buy cereal from the grocery store (and even almond milk to go with it!), drive to work in my vehicle that starts and has gas in it, put on a winter coat that keeps me warm, and so many other little "daily routines" that we take for granted. I'm also so thankful for my momma, who is a selfless, kind, and inspiring woman to me, my brother, and my dad.

I am thankful for the continuous beauty in the world and how it surprises me all the time...in the grin of one of my kids, the contrast of a bright sunset against dark trees,the song of a bird, and the sigh after a hard days work.

I'm thankful for the trials I have faced this year. This is the most difficult year of my 27 years of life, but I know the Lord himself is with me and will go before me. It's comforting to rest in that. I'm thankful for that promise.

I work with some pretty awesome kids at a children's hospital as a child life specialist. I am so thankful for each day I have with them. Most of my kids have leukemia/cancer, CF or heart defects and they are some of the most resiliant people I've ever met. Even on the hard days, I'm so thankful for the opportunity for them to teach me a lesson on patience and perseverance.
